Eternal Night [Demo]
A downloadable game for Windows
A black curse has befallen the land, casting it within a wicked night. Dark creatures seek out ancient sites to spread this mystic plague and bring down the light of mankind. You are a Tactician, one who is capable of summoning mighty defenses that help push back the legions of the night, break the curse, and bring back the day!
Eternal Night is an Action Tower Defense game with horror elements. It has been in development for roughly two years and this demo is the result of that that time and effort. You can check out a little bit more about the game and some of my other work in progress on my site. rogergamedesigner.com/eternal-night

- Freedom of planning - Place your defenses almost any you wish in each level, mix and match various defenses, and come up with different strategies from the combinations and placements you’ve come up with.
Future updates will include
- More types of defense that will allow the player to come up with even more strategies and play styles. Some defense include
- Slowing down, freezing, poisoning, pushing back enemies.
- Others will directly help the player such as healing fountains, damage bonus areas, and teleporters, some of which will also help your Sentries.
- Speaking of, more Sentry types! Ones that will seek out more enemies, summon multiple at once to watch your back, and giant walls to keep enemies at bay.
- More enemy types - Challenge the player and their strategies even more by having to quickly rethink their plans in order to adapt with the ever-changing threat.
- Close range combat – The character may be updated to take on more enemies directly up close and personal with less worry of immediate death.
- Spells! – Right now, the player only has the single attack spell, but more will be added, as well as a manna system.
- A more fleshed out story for players to experience alongside the great gameplay.
System Requirements
The exact System Requirements are still being researched but it will be hardware intensive at times as this is a 3D action game with many enemies on the screen at once, but the game has a highly configurable Graphic Settings to best suit your computer's capabilities. Overall, it is best to have at least a decently configured computer.
Here are the relative requirements
- Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later
- Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster
- NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher
- 8 GB RAM
Update 1.01
- Fixed bug where enemies would not be damaged in their mid section
- Fixed bug where in the level "Grand Stairwell" enemies would not advance forward

I found this interesting and had a bit of fun with this tower defense game. Though I ran into some issues with the grand staircase map and the enemies dying behind their spawn point.
Keep it up though.
Really cool. I love myself some tower defense games. The graphics are nice and i like the tower ideas.
I had a few bugs, such as not being able to progress through the tutorial and the first level the enemies wouldn't attack.
Still a cool game and i can't wait to see more.
Omg thanks for reviewing my game, I love this! Though these bugs are so crazy and completely new.....figures they come up now, Ill have to check why the enemies arent moving, why the health bar isnt reflecting their damaged health, the tutorial bugs are bugging me the most, and probably spread the tutorial out to have less info dump, and test the game on lower end computers to see if this is causing problems or if something else. Also will definitely need to find out why some levels are so infuriatingly laggy. Thanks for the review, it was great!
